About East Mississauga Midwives

We are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Our practice has a special focus of working with those in difficult life situations, including new immigrants and refugees, client's fleeing abusive relationships, teens, or those with other social issues that affect their lives and the lives of their babies. Midwifery care is free to all pregnant people in Ontario, even if they do not have an Ontario health card. Our midwives have admitting privileges at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Site. We have excellent relationships with the highly skilled obstetricians, pediatricians and nurses at the hospital and will consult with them if problems arise. With the help of their midwives, our clients decide whether to have their babies at Trillium or at home.
